The family of Maj. Brent Taylor has announced a public viewing Friday and a public funeral for the North Ogden mayor killed in Afghanistan — both at the Dee Events Center on the campus of Weber State University.
Taylor, 39, was killed Nov. 3 while training an Afghan Army commando battalion near Kabul. He was on his second tour of duty in Afghanistan and fourth deployment of his 10-year military career.
According to a release from the Taylor family, his body is scheduled to be returned to Utah on Wednesday at 3 p.
