Protesters again target Utah’s Inland Port and police intervene

Opponents of the Utah Inland Port in northwest Salt Lake City staged a demonstration Tuesday at Salt Lake City Hall that migrated to the Salt Lake Chamber offices and led to the arrest of at least one protester.

Ethan Peterson, who was arrested at an Inland Port Authority board meeting last month at the state Capitol, was again taken into custody by police on Tuesday. Officers ordered all the demonstrators to leave, as well as the news reporters and photographers who had followed them into the building.

Back in the lobby. My photographer and I decided today wasn’t the day to get arrested on the job.
