Political Cornflakes: A Senate impeachment trial expected to bring more partisan bickering than bipartisanship

Happy Tuesday! During the impeachment of President Bill Clinton, the rules of the Senate trial were largely agreed to in a bipartisan manner. Don’t look for that this time around. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has said he’s working in concert with the White House on how a trial will function and Republicans are already dismissing requests by Democratic leader Chuck Schumer for witnesses to testify.
