One person is dead in West Valley City after a house fire, and police are investigating whether reports of gunfire in the area are related.
Police had released little information at noon Thursday. “We’re dealing with a very dynamic situation,” said West Valley City police spokeswoman Roxeanne Vainuku.
Fire crews were called to a house fire at 4112 Wendy Ave. in West Valley City. Police also received reports of shots fired in the same area, Vainuku said.
