The International Champions Cup tournament disrupted the NWSL schedule somewhat by having the North Carolina Courage vs Houston Dash game rescheduled until next month; thus there were only 4 total games this week. Portland Thorns return to the top of the rankings, and Utah Royals FC rise after winning their 3rd straight game.
I do rankings for both NWSL and MLS a little differently; typically in soccer leagues within the USA, the home team wins more than 50% of the time. Thus I rank any team deviates from the ‘normal’ higher - basically an away team winning will move higher than a home team winning.
