The Republican tax bill is a sneak attack on Medicaid and Medicare. In order to pay for tax cuts for large corporations and millionaires and billionaires, Congress passed a budget in October that included $1.8 trillion in cuts to Medicaid, Medicare and other health care programs.
• 1 in 7 children in working families would lose out in receiving the full increased child tax credit amount. Meanwhile, children of millionaires would get a $650 boost per child.
This plan is clearly a quid pro quo to benefit the wealthy and corporations who participate in funding our broken election system.
