I suppose the substitute teacher who shot down the little boy because he was thankful that his two dads were going to adopt him would rather see him languish in foster care until he ages out and then be tossed out on the street with no support system. What a warped sense of morality.
Eleven-year-old children are not as easy to place as infants or toddlers. He already had two failed adoptions. God will bless these two men for stepping up.
More and more I have heard of same-sex couples adopting children with special needs who were passed on by heterosexual couples.
