Gehrke: Good news is bad for the Love campaign, leaving the 4th District race completely up for grabs

Mia Love should be used to this by now. In 2012, then-Rep. Jim Matheson edged Love by 768 votes to win the newly created seat. It’s the closest parallel to what we’re watching play out now in the 4th District race.

And that 768-vote win could look like a blowout by the time either Love or Ben McAdams are declared the winner.

They have about 100 ballots, odds and ends, plus any “cure” affidavits that come in. (Cure affidavits are forms sent to voters when signatures on file are deemed not to match the signature on the ballot.
