Christen Press has signed a contract with Manchester United in the FA Women’s Super League until the end of the 2020/2021 season. Utah Royals FC will retain the rights to Press in the National Women’s Soccer League. The announcement has been expected for weeks. Press joins Tobin Heath in the signing.
In her two and a half years with URFC, Press has appeared in 25 matches and has recorded 10 goals and four assists, good for the second-most in club history for both categories. During the 2019 season Press was named the Player of the Month for August, the Player of the Week in week 17 and earned a spot on the Best XI for the fourth time in her NWSL career.
