If you feel like it’s been a while since you saw Chris Schuler start for Real Salt Lake, you’re right.
It’s been nearly 14 months since he last saw the field from the outset, starting in a 1-3 loss to Colorado Rapids on July 11. And before that? April 5, 2015.
In case you needed a reminder, it’s been a while since we’ve seen him in an RSL shirt. He’s been close, obviously, having started plenty of times for Real Monarchs after signing with them earlier this year.
He signed for Real Salt Lake only a few scant weeks ago, and it’s with a certain amount of bad luck that he’s coming to start already.
