A 5-year-old boy was killed Wednesday in a “major” three-car crash in South Jordan that also left several others injured. As a result of the crash, South Jordan Parkway is closed between 4000 West and Bangerter Highway. Drivers are advised to use 9800 South or 11400 South for the next few hours as alternate routes.
Lt. Matt Pennington with South Jordan Police told FOX 13 that it looks like a car was sitting in the intersection at 3700 W. South Jordan Parkway when it was hit by another vehicle from behind, causing the first car to hit a third vehicle.
