The Equalizer has reported that Becky Sauerbrunn will be traded to Portland Thorns FC in return for allocation money and include at least one player going back to Utah. Utah can also get more allocation money for as long as Sauerbrunn remains an active player.
Sauerbrunn has been a part of Utah Royals FC since 2017, since FC Kansas City folded and Sauerbrunn was the first to commit to the new club.
