Admission to Hogle Zoo will be free on Wednesdays in November and December, a “thank you to Salt Lake County residents for the ZAP program,” according to zoo officials.
Hogle Zoo receives about $2.2 million per year from the Zoo, Arts and Park Program. The voter-approved tax — which adds a penny to every $10 purchase in the county — helps fund more than 200 nonprofit organizations.
In recent years, zoo admission has been free on the last Wednesday in November, December, January and February. This year, you can get in for free on Nov. 13, 20 and 27 and Dec.
