A milk bar — in case you’re wondering — is Australia’s name for a corner store, where neighbors can get hot coffee, a quick bite to eat and maybe some candy or ice cream.
The Salt Lake City version will be called Milk Bar by Five5eeds and it will take shape this summer in the brick building that once was home to Charley Hafen Jewelry at 1409 S. 900 East.
The owners are waiting for permits from the city to start the remodel, said Five5eeds general manager Gabriel Chaparro.
