A 17-year-old American Fork High School senior died Friday, less than a week after he was thrown from a vehicle in a rollover crash in Pleasant Grove.
Keaton Smith, who was a linebacker for the American Fork Caveman, was with his date and another couple on Nov. 18 when a vehicle pulled out in front of them at about noon near 530 West and 1100 North, Pleasant Grove police Sgt. Domonic Adamson said.
The vehicle Smith was riding in rolled, and he was ejected, Adamson said. He was pronounced dead at a hospital Friday.
Smith had been in an intensive car unit since the crash, and underwent at least two surgeries to deal with head trauma.
