Over the last year, a lot has changed for Albert Rusnák. One year ago this weekend, the Real Salt Lake midfielder extraordinaire registered his first MLS goal as RSL toppled Vancouver Whitecaps FC 3-0 in a snowy day at Rio Tinto Stadium for the club’s first win under Head Coach Mike Petke.
Now, a year later, he looks back on a year of firsts on and off the field and how he has grown to love Salt Lake City and the RSL faithful.
The date was April 8, 2017, and Real Salt Lake was looking for its first win of the season while the newly-signed playmaker was seeking his first goal in a tumultuous first month of his first MLS season.
