Three people have been charged with first-degree felony murder in the June 5 shooting death of a man in Kearns.
According to a probable cause statement, a witness told police that he, two men and a woman went to a home at 4819 S. 4720 West intending to rob a man named Julio. The witness said that while one of the men and the woman were inside the house robbing Julio at gunpoint, a second man and John Herman Tonga, 34, entered the room with guns and shots were fired.
Tonga, who was at the home when the three arrived, came out of the house and collapsed in the front yard, where he died.
