After the bad news about Lewis Jackson earlier today we needed some good news to cleanse the pallete. Thankfully, Cameron Perkins is here to give us some of that good news. On the even of Caleb Swanigan beginning his professional career Perkins made his first Major League start tonight for the Phillies against the Cardinals in Philadelphia. He made a pinch hit appearance last night for his MLB debut, but tonight he batted leadoff and started in left field.
After a first sinning strikeout he came up in the second with his third chance at getting that elusive first Major League hit.
