For most of the nation’s top programs it is about bringing in the most 5 star recruits as possible. It’s about taking the biggest names from the biggest high school programs, and grooming them for a career in the NBA after a brief year among the college ranks. It wasn’t until last year that we had the school’s first McDonald’s All-American commit in years. For us Purdue fans we are used to getting good, but not great players. We are used to getting 3 and 4 star recruits that we hope after a few years can become productive members of our team.
