Getting a 4-star recruit is great. But going out of state and stealing one from Michigan? That’s heavenly.
It’s not like Michigan didn’t try to sign him as they were one of the many schools to offer Grant a scholarship.
Some other Big Ten schools to offer Grant a scholarship were Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan State and Minnesota.
The fact Grant signed with those Purdue instead of those Big Ten schools or an elite program like Notre Dame speaks volumes to what Coach Brohm is doing on the recruiting trail.
Edging out in-state schools Michigan and Michigan State is also a huge coup for Purdue.
