It only took 71 years, but finally, Purdue has caught the University of Chicago with 73 Big Ten titles across all sports. Today women's track and field team won the Big Ten for the third time, and first since 1999. It is the second Big Ten team title of the school year, joining men's basketball from March. This was after Purdue, as a school, went four straight years without any titles.
Devynne Charlton won three individual events. Symone Black won the 100 meters. The team won the 4x100 meters as well.
Purdue scored 21 points in the 100 and 20 points in the 200 by placing four athletes in the top 7 of each.
