Purdue football player Andrew Chelf was shot Sunday near campus but is reportedly recovering in the hospital, per Joseph Paul of the Lafayette Journal and Courier.
The 20-year-old posted a message on his Twitter account after the shooting:
Police believe the wound was not self-inflicted, and no arrests have been made yet.
The West Lafayette Police Department found Chelf with a single gunshot wound in his torso early Sunday morning.
Chelf is a sophomore out of Southlake, Texas and has yet to appear in a game for the Boilermakers.
