Purdue Refuses to Defend Beyond the Arc, Get’s Schooled by Michigan 82-70

Coming into this game, I kept telling our staff that if Purdue wanted to win in Ann Arbor, they needed to stop Michigan’s deadly 3-point shooting. I even said that if Wagner goes off, Purdue could be in trouble.

Well, after Wagner 4-6 performance beyond the arc in the 1st half, it was basically over for the Boilermakers unless they could change the script.

For a moment, it seem like Purdue could close the gap once Michigan’s lead was down to 11 points halfway through the 2nd half. But then the dam broke. Even with Wagner on the bench, it seemed like every other Michigan player was left alone beyond the arc and could shoot the ball at will.
