Purdue basketball will play on New Year’s Day. We have known the day for a while, but we did not know the time until earlier today. The conference finally announced that the “TBA” tipoff time would be 4:30pm:
The game will be carried on Big Ten Network and it is the second game of the Big Ten season after Wednesday’s conference opener also at home against Iowa. Minnesota was pretty awful last year, to the point that they were the only team to lose to Rutgers in conference play. So far this season they are off to a surprising 12-1 start.
