Purdue Football: Nick Sipe Retiring From Football

Gold and Black Illustrated Tweeted out that redshirt sophomore Quarterback has decided to retire from football due to medical reasons.

Sipe, a member of the 2017 class -Brohm’s first class - originally committed to Darrell Hazell, before Jeff Brohm became the head football coach.

Sipe saw limited action last year, as the third string quarterback. He finishes his Purdue Career being 1 for 1, for 3 yards.

Now, the depth at Quarterback becomes very thin for the remainder of the season. Elijah Sindelar is out for the foreseeable future with a broken collarbone, leaving Jack Plummer (RS FR) and Paul Piferi (Frosh) as the only healthy scholarship quarterbacks.
