Purdue’s baseball opponent this weekend will likely cause much gnashing of teeth, as it is the Little Rock Trojans. Yes, it is the same school that caused us so much pain back in March. Purdue heads to Arkansas to play their baseball team in a three-game set starting tonight.
Purdue enters this weekend at 2-2 after splitting four games at Texas State last weekend. It easily could have been a 3-1 weekend, but Purdue’s bullpen couldn’t hold the lead in a 13-11 loss by giving up eight runs in the last two innings. It was also an emotional weekend, as newcomer Logan Poisall lost his father to an extended illness before joining the team, doubling in his first collegiate at bat, and homering in his first start on Saturday.
