We knew it was going to be a tough challenge for Purdue baseball this weekend in Minneapolis against Big Ten leading Minnesota, but we’re now bordering on the absurd. Purdue was leading tonight 5-2 entering the bottom of the 7th inning thanks to four errors, four wild pitches, and the excellent bunting of Milo Beam.
Then, a transformer blew outside the ballpark.
This caused a power outage, suspending tonight’s game until tomorrow. It will be concluded at 1pm on BTN. Then, because of rain int he forecast for Saturday, games 2 and three will be picked up as a doubleheader immediately after.
