Years from now we will remember when Tommy Luce scored the first point of his career. The freshman walk-on, whose assists have been dubbed “Luce change” by acclaimation on Twitter, hit a free throw with 1:27 left to notch the first point of his career. We can only speculate that it is hte first of many and he will be the next 1,000 point scorer from Purdue. It was a critical point in tonight’s 82-50 victory.
Okay, so we didn’t absolutely NEED Luce’s talents. It was good to see the team and crowd get behind the freshman who was the only player who had not scored yet this season (aside from, of course, Jacquil Taylor).
