In one of the least shocking developments of the week David Bell has been named the Big Ten’s Co-Offensive Player of the Week after his dominating effort against Iowa in Purdue’s 24-20 season opening win. Bell had 13 receptions for 121 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winner with 2:15 left. This only added to his tormenting of the Hawkeyes after he caught 13 passes for 197 yards and a score in Iowa City last year.
What can I say. David Bell loves setting the Iowa secondary on fire.
Bell was, of course, the Big Ten’s Freshman of the Year last season and won that Weekly honor four times vs.
