Sure, it wasn't beating a pair of top 5 teams in succession, but blowing out the No. 25 team at home and squeezing out a win on the road over the No. 17 team were huge for Purdue's profile. The Boilers were in danger of slipping out of the top 25 for the first time in almost two years, but these wins not only solidified their spot, they provided a major boost from the previous No. 23 spot.
