Caleb Swanigan Named Big Ten Player of the Week

For the first time in his career, Caleb Swanigan has been named the Big Ten Player of the Week:

Biggie has had a double-double in all but one game this season, and that was a 20 point, 8 rebound, 4 assist game against Villanova. He gets the award this week after three double-doubles last week, including a virtually perfect performance against NJIT. He had 22 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, and he did not miss a shot (6 for 6 from the field and 10 for 10 from the line).

In what was probably a travesty of justice, Carsen Edwards was NOT named the Freshman of the Week, as that went to Miles Bridges of Michigan State.
