Bob Diaco Out After Just 1 Season As Purdue Defensive Coordinator

News broke early Thursday that Purdue’s defensive coordinator Bob Diaco has been fired after just one season with the Boilermakers.

This news is not all that surprising given the Boilermaker’s struggles defensively this season as they ranked 60th in the country in total defense. They also allowed 29.8 points per game which was good for just 71st for scoring defense in the nation as well.

Pass rush was also a big issue for Purdue as they finished the season with only 5 total sacks in 6 games as opposed to the 28 sacks they had in 2019 under Nick Holt.
