2017 Purdue Football Recruiting: Dante Johnson Commits

Purdue hosted a ton of recruits this weekend. Many of them were legacy commitments that carried over from the Hazell regime, while some were new targets. One of the biggest pieces of news is that Robert Hudson, a huge offensive tackle from Michigan, backed out of his commitment.

Purdue did still gain a target at a position of need, however. Dante Johnson, a 6’5” 245 defensive tackle from Apopka, Florida commited during his visit:

Johnson is a 2-star commitment across the board, but we’re so thin at defensive tackle that we’re willing to take a guy who is likely going to need to develop over time.
