2015: This was maybe the best game of the series since Ed Cooley took over at Providence. A back-and-forth battle ended on Ben Bentil’s tip in at the buzzer at the Ryan Center. The 23rd ranked Friars improved to 8-1 on the season behind Bentil’s 23 points and eight rebounds. Rodney Bullock contributed 16 for PC, while Jared Terrell had 19 for the Rams.
2016: Many assumed the 21st ranked Rams would take down Cooley for the first time, but Kyron Cartwright had other ideas. Cartwright had made four 3-pointers all season before knocking down four of five from beyond the arc in the first half alone.
