PROVIDENCE – When Steve DeMeo walks into the Dunkin’ Donuts Center Wednesday night for the first time in 12 years, he’ll still see an awful lot of familiar faces.
It’s been that long since DeMeo sat alongside Tim Welsh and helped coach five Providence College teams to post-season tournaments in perhaps the toughest decade to ever navigate the Big East’s shark-filled waters. The basketball road has taken DeMeo far and wide since 2008 but he’s always kept the Friars in his sights.
