Sox Nation can breathe a sigh of relief

FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH:

n They have survived the start from Baseball Hell, the one that began with cold winds, leaden skies and preseason dreams that didn’t seem to be able to get out of the batter’s box.

They are finally over .500.

The season’s bad start is little more than a bad memory, as gone as the gray of April.

They seem to have found their mojo, whether that was due to good leadership or just the vagaries of the game.

Whatever the reason, the panic in the streets is over, and as we start to stare at June, you can all but close your eyes and see Fenway in another baseball summer, as timeless as the Green Monster itself.
