PROVIDENCE – He’s making progress but Emmitt Holt remains a long ways away from a return to the Providence College basketball team.
After missing all of the 2017-18 season after an abdominal injury and subsequent surgery, Holt is on the road back to the lineup for next season. However he remains limited in most of his basketball-related workouts.
A Twitter report by CBS college basketball insider Jon Rothstein on Thursday regarding Holt’s status raised the hopes of Friar fans but is inaccurate. He reported that Holt “has been fully cleared and is participating in spring workouts.”
