PROVIDENCE – In just the third Big East game of the season, Luwane Pipkins was a non-factor. This time Steve Wojciechowski couldn’t help but notice a very different Friar point guard.
The graduate transfer guard scored the game’s first seven points, taking the ball hard at Marquette star Markus Howard, and his teammates followed from their in a 84-72 victory. Pipkins poured in a season-high 24 points, marking a full circle from the night when he managed only one point in a PC overtime win in Milwaukee.
"He was great today," Wojciechowski said.
