PC hockey looking at a rebuilding season? Don’t bet on it

PROVIDENCE - It’s never wise to bet against Nate Leaman but his Providence College hockey team looks to be facing a bit of a rebuilding season.

Fresh off a ride to the 2019 Frozen Four, the Friars are stacked with talent but much of it is young heading into this season. PC opens its schedule Saturday when it plays host to the University of Maine beginning at 4 p.m.

The Friars welcome in 13 newcomers, including 12 freshman, to the roster. Included are a trio of NHL prospects in Max Crozier (Tampa Bay, 2019, 4th round), Jake Kucharski (Carolina, 2018, 7th Round) and Patrick Moynihan (New Jersey, 2019, 4th Round).
