PC hockey falls to Holy Cross, 3-2, in OT

PROVIDENCE — Holy Cross’ Kevin Darrar scored on a breakaway at 3:28 into overtime to beat Providence College, 3-2, Friday night at Schneider Arena.

Greg Printz put the Friars on the board first, taking a pass from Parker Ford on the left post and tapping in the game’s first goal at 5:17 in the first period.

Jake Pappalardo tied the game in the second period and it remained knotted at the second break, when neither side could capitalize on their power-play chances.

Jack Dugan’s second goal of the season lifted Providence to a 2-1 lead with 12:39 remaining in regulation before Andrew Dumaresque evened the game with 23 seconds left in final period.
