PROVIDENCE – Mission accomplished.
The Providence College Friars badly wanted to wipe away the pain from their worst Big East loss of the season and they did so with gusto Saturday afternoon at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.
Sparked by 21 points from Alpha Diallo, 20 from Kyron Cartwright and 11 in the second half by Isaiah Jackson, the Friars beat Creighton, 85-71. PC closed the game on a 16-6 run to win their fourth game in a row.
PC improves to 14-6 overall and 5-2 in the Big East. Creighton falls to 15-5 and 5-3 in the league.
