PROVIDENCE – Providence College got back on the winning track with a dominating 6-0 win over Brown University in the 31st Mayor’s Cup on Sunday at Meehan Auditorium.
Leading the attack for PC were Vimal Sukumaran with two goals, captain Josh Monk and Erik Foley with a goal and an assist each and Garrett Gamez with three assists. Bryan Lemos and Anthony Florentino scored the other two goals for the 14th-ranked Friars (3-3-1).
Hayden Hawkey of the Friars stopped 21 shots for his second career shutout.
