BOSTON -- Erik Foley’s goal with 70 seconds left in the second period lifted Providence College to a 2-2 tie with Boston University at Agganis Arena on Saturday.
Foley deflected a point shot by Vincent Desharnais past BU goalie Jake Oettinger (17 saves) for his 13th goal of the season.
Just 1:55 before Foley scored, BU’s Bobo Carpenter had given the Terriers a 2-1 lead with a wrist shot that beat Hayden Hawkey (31 saves) in the PC net. It was Carpenter’s second goal of the game.
After a scoreless first period, Josh Wilkins of the Friars opened the scoring after a give-and-go with Kasper Bjorkqvist at 11:32.
