PC 2, BC 1: Saracino and Tanev score for Friars

  • ESTERO, Fla. – Nick Saracino and Brandon Tanev notched goals 44 seconds apart midway through the third period to spur a 2-1 come-from-behind victory for the top-ranked Providence College men’s hockey team over No. 4 Boston College in a bizarre ending at Germain Arena. The Friars will finish in third place in the Florida College Hockey Classic, while the Eagles come in fourth.
The game was delayed nearly 45 minutes after a light above the Boston College bench ignited, causing the arena to cut off the remaining lights with just 8.2 seconds remaining in regulation.
