GILL, Mass. — The first clue hangs in a trophy case containing a framed picture of Jackie Robinson delivering the commencement address in 1970. A few inches away stands a tarnished Intramural Cup with inscriptions dating back to 1903.
Step inside the gym at Northfield Mount Hermon and the next clue is a series of banners hanging behind one basket bearing the names of Andover, Choate, Deerfield, Hotchkiss and a few of the other elite boarding schools in the country.
