PROVIDENCE — Most, but not all, of the college basketball world is loving the Providence College Friars right about now.
Riding an eight-game winning streak and a 2-0 Big East start, the Friars jumped four spots to No. 8 in the Associated Press hoop poll on Monday. That's PC’s highest ranking in the poll since Joey Hassett was firing bombs for Dave Gavitt’s eighth ranked team back in 1977.
