Alpha Diallo led a shorthanded Providence group to a 63-58 win over St. John’s on Wednesday night. Diallo scored 19 points (7-15 shooting, 2-3 from 3) in a game in which points were at a premium. PC limited St. John’s star LJ Figueroa to 4-17 shooting from the field. Freshman Greg Gantt got the start with Emmitt Holt and AJ Reeves both sidelined, and he finished with 7 points, six rebounds and a pair of blocks.
