PROVIDENCE — It was Kiddie Corps Night at The Dunk Wednesday.
The Friars and Hoyas started three freshmen apiece for their Big East clash. In the end, it was the Hoyas’ diaper dandies who shined best in a 76-67 victory that gave Georgetown its first season sweep of PC since 2014.
The Hoyas kids gave coach Patrick Ewing a little bit of everything. While second-leading scorer James Akinjo (10 points) was held in check most of the night, his backcourt mate stepped up. Mac McClung, a YouTube dunking sensation, threw one slam down, totaled 13 points, dished for five assists and grabbed six rebounds.
