Exhibition game features fresh and familiar faces for Friars

PROVIDENCE — Providence College basketball fans will get their first look at something old and something new Friday night at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.

The new-look Friars will play the first of two exhibition games against the University of Bridgeport Purple Knights (7 p.m.). Fans will not only see veterans like Kalif Young and Isaiah Jackson but also witness the return of Emmitt Holt from an injury redshirt season and one of the better freshman classes in recent memory.

Coach Ed Cooley isn’t saying who he’s ready to start just yet but did point out that Providence native David Duke has looked good at point guard and Boston’s A.
