PROVIDENCE — Usually the largest jump a college basketball player makes with his skill set comes as a freshman grows into a sophomore. Alpha Diallo is ready to throw a curve at that theory.
Diallo begins his senior season on Tuesday when the Providence Friars host Sacred Heart at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center. The player PC fans see take the floor will be the same one who earned second-team All-Big East honors a year ago and is one of the most versatile performers in the country. But after a summer of work against high quality competition, the current version of Diallo is much improved and better than ever.
